Rewards Network, a provider of financing, marketing, and loyalty services to the restaurant industry, today announced its first-ever ‘Restaurant Resilient $50K Giveaway’. The company will award $10,000 to five restaurants each to help support them during the winter months.

To enter the contest, restaurants will have to complete a short survey by December 4. Submissions will be primarily judged on 150-word maximum responses to the following questions within the survey:

  1. What do you think your restaurant means to your community?
  2. How would you use the $10,000?

An internal committee of Rewards Network employees will review submissions, with the final winner selection decided by three employees from a cross-section of Rewards Network’s marketing, sales, and operations teams, all of whom are highly qualified professionals dedicated to local restaurant marketing and finance. The committee will choose and notify the winners on December 18 and will be announced publicly in January 2021.

“Restaurant owners have shown us the power of resilience and will likely face a rough road ahead for the next few months,” said Linda Bartman, CMO at Rewards Network. “We’re excited to launch this giveaway as an opportunity for us to be able to provide some financial support to the winning restaurants during the potentially tough winter months.”

Rewards Network and Womply are now aiding restaurants in securing a PPP loan at no cost to them. Womply helped more than 50,000 businesses get their PPP loans in 2020, and are now partnering with Rewards Network to help restaurants streamline the application process to secure their 2021 PPP loan before funds dry up.

Kevin Dulsky joined Rewards Network as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships in December 2018. Prior to joining Rewards Network as President, Steve Fusco served as Vice President and General Manager of Global Distribution at PayPal, leading a global team responsible for technology platform and marketplace partnerships. Previously, he served in several executive roles at Citigroup in both the credit card and retail banking businesses.

Andrei Utkin joined Rewards Network from Insureon, where he served as CMO. He previously oversaw loyalty and rewards marketing at Capital One and brings strong experience in data-driven marketing to Rewards Network.

In his role as Chief Marketing Officer, Utkin is responsible for strategy, development, and implementation of all marketing programs impacting new member enrollment, member engagement, and restaurant acquisition and retention.

These three hires come during the first year of Ed Eger’s tenure as CEO. Eger joined Rewards Network in 2017 after positions as President and CEO of OANDA Corporation, General Manager of the Americas at PayPal, and CEO of Citigroup’s International Cards business.
